After her first single "Unstoppable" finally started recieving some airwaves, Kat DeLuna is quickly planning her possible follow-up single called "Put It On" off her album ''Inside Out''! The song, which features rapper Lil' Wayne, is a nice pop / dance track, with an amazing beat. Even though it again uses auto-tune, it is organized in a nicer manner than last time. After a couple listens, this song actually becomes a pretty well-rounded song. Enjoy it!!

Hip-hop and r&b songstress, Teairra Marí is about to release her sophomore album ''At that Point'' later on this year! Her first single "Hunt 4 U" was just released, and is slowly becoming a hit. Meanwhile here is a brand new song from Miss Marí called "Cause a Scene" featuring fellow rapper Flo Rida. It is a great crunk-rap, r&b track, which seems a bit repetitive, but after a couple listens becomes an addiction. This should of definitely been her first single! Enjoy this exclusive!

Hit-making producer and rapper Akon, has been on a roll with his latest album ''Freedom'' featuring the hit single "Right Now (Na Na Na)". The album also features his newest hit "Beautiful", which just had it's video released. The song is a great upbeat dance-r&b / hip-hop track with a 'beautiful' rhythm and flow. The video is pretty mellow, and simple. Of cousre featuring many beautiful girls, this video is actually a little disappointing for such a good song. Akon must be doing something right with the way his music shoots to the top of the charts! Enjoy the video!!

After acheiving another number one for his song "Right Round", Flo Rida has finally come around to releasing a video for the track! The song, which is the lead single from his 2nd album entitled ''R.O.O.T.S.'' is a great, hip-hop song, with great pop and rock influence. The video is very cliché like most rap videos, but is decent enough to watch. Kesha, who is in the song, sadly does not make an appearance in the video, and is replaced by some other girl. Congratulations to Flo for his 2nd #1 in the U.S. in less than 2 years! Enjoy this!!

Akon's Caribbean girl-duo Brick & Lace are planning aon releasing a new album later this year! Their last album ''Love is Wicked'' had some commercial success, but ultimately failed on the charts. Here is the newest video for their single "Bad to idi Bone"! The song is a great, uptempo dance hall-pop track with great island flava! The video, like their other videos, is on the safe side, but is still fun to watch! I hope this charts well this! Enjoy the music video!!

Rapper / producer The-Dream is set to release his 2nd LP ''Love vs. Money'' next month! Here we have a new song from him called "Walking on the Moon" featuring Kanye West, which he describes as bigger than Rihanna's "Umbrella". The song is a cool Michael Jackson-inspired pop / r&b track, with an addictive chorus! I doubt this will be bigger than "Umbrella", but I still think this can really blow up this spring! Enjoy the track!

Ever since their hit album ''Monkey Business'' back in 2005, The Black Eyed Peas have been taking a bit of a break from the industry. But after almost 4 years, BEP is back with their newest single "Boom Boom Pow", off the album ''The E.N.D.'' (The Energy Never Dies). "Boom Boom Pow" is a hot pop-dance, hip-hop track, a typical club banger. After a few listens, this song totally becomes #1 material! Enjoy!!

If you have been keeping up with your celebrity gossip these past couple weeks, you probably have heard about Chris Brown beating and assaulting his now ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. If you have not heard of this yet, please read this post first. Anyways, the first picture of Rihanna after the brawl has leaked online. It is so horrible, that words cannot describe. The picture brought tears to my eyes, and that beast Chris Brown has to be thrown in jail! for this He is a heartless individual, and his music career is officially over. And to top it off, tomorrow is her 21st birthday, where she will be at home in Barbados recovering. La Place de Musique will no longer support him, and no longer most any media involving him. We all pray for Rihanna to get better and wish her and her family the best!

Kanye West has been on a great roll with his album ''808's & Heartbreak'' since its release in November. After 2 very successful singles, Kanye is releasing 3 singles all at once ''See You in My Nightmares", "Amazing", and finally "Welcome to the Heartbreak". "Welcome to the Heartbreak" is a nice synthpop / hip-hop song, with nice vocals from Kanye. The video follows the legacy of much of his previous videos. It features many different colors with almost illusion-type pictures. I doubt this track will get huge reception, as "Amazing" has already began to chart well. Enjoy the video though!!

Rapper T.I. has been very hard at work promoting his newest single "Dead & Gone" lately, before finding out if he will serve jail time in April. To boost the performance of the track, the video has come to help it. The song, featuring Justin Timberlake, is a midtempo hip-hop / pop track with swift lyrics from both the guys. The video is just like those for most raw urban videos, but is pretty decent for the song. I already smell his next smash hit! Enjoy!!

Last year girl-group Danity Kane suffered the loss of two of it's members Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods. The girls have now branched out to make their own solo music. Here is a new song from D. Woods called "Legalize Me". The song is a hot, uptempo pop track with a catchy chorus and a fun beat. The song become a instant favorite from me. This would be perfect material for a hit single! Enjoy this song!!

In a very short time, The-Dream is going to release his second album ''Love vs. Money"! The hype for this album has been growing a lot this past month, as the release date gets closer. After a while of speculation, The-Dream has unveiled the official cover art for the album. The cover much like the one for his previous album is simple, and has been painted totally red. It's very cool and different, and the fonts are great as well! Be sure to buy your copy of the album March 10th! Enjoy the cover art!!

With the continuing success of Lady GaGa around the world, it seems she is not stopping any time soon. After months of waiting, the video for her newest single "LoveGame" from her album ''The Fame'' has leaked. The song is an upbeat, pop-dance club topper, with an amazing beat! The video follows the them of the song and has some great choreography in it. Rumors have been circulating about the video, and yes, she does kiss a girl. I can't wait until this is another #1! Enjoy this!!

Latin heartthrob and singer Enrique Iglesias released his English greatest hits album late last year. Here we have the video for his second single off the album, "Takin' Back My Love" featuring Ciara! This song is a great, upbeat pop-dance track with an addicting chorus to it! The video tells a sexual love story between Enrique and Ciara, and was shot pretty well! This is going to chart amazingly, I know it! Enjoy the video!!

Earlier this week, Jennifer Hudson won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. Here we have the video for her second single from her self-titled album. The song "If This Isn't Love" is a beautiful r&b / soul song, with amazing vocals on the chorus. The video is pretty simple, but J-Hud looks astonishing in it! It really shows how real of an artist she is. I wish her the best with her new single! Enjoy!!!

After her very successful single "American Boy" with Kanye West, Estelle has been hard at work doing some promotional commercials for companies. One of her latest advertisements has featured her singing a song entitled "Star". This song has finally leaked in full, and here it is. The intro of it is nice, and the pop beat is nice, but her vocals can get a bit more of a re-touching IMO. This track in general is a bit of a disappointment, and I would not like to see this ona re-release of her album. Enjoy this, I guess!

Sometime next month The-Dream will be releasing his sophomore album ''Love vs. Money''! After some unsuccessful singles, he is releasing his songs "Rockin' That Thing" and "My Love" with Mariah Carey as singles. Here is the video for "Rockin' That Thing", a nice r&b / hip-hop jam. The video is actually pretty hot. It blends a futuristic vibe with a sexual mood. I hope for his sake this doesn't flop. Enjoy this!!

Los Angeles police are saying pop megastar Chris Brown has turned himself in to authorities investigating an alleged felony battery involving the singer. A Police officer stated that Brown walked into a station around 7 p.m. and was being interviewed by detectives. Smith said he was not in custody. Police say the 19-year-old singer and a woman widely believed to be his girlfriend, Rihanna, with whom he attended a pre-Grammy party the night before, were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood early Sunday when they began arguing, and the argument escalated when they got out of the car. Police say the woman identified Brown as her attacker, but he was gone by the time officers arrived.

Both Brown and his girlfriend, fellow singer Rihanna, did not attend the 51st Grammy Awards tonight. Rihanna was scheduled to perform a song. A representative for the Grammy's said that she has a "slightly bruised face", and would not attend. This is really sad for Rihanna, and if Chris Brown was her attacker, rest assure this blog will stop posting anything about him. La Place de Musique wishes her all the best and hopes that she recovers soon!

After 2 very successful singles from his album ''The Paper Trail'', T.I. has officially moved on to his fourth official single "Dead & Gone" featuring Justin Timberlake. The track, which is a cool pop / rap song, was performed by the two today at the Grammy's. The performance was my favorite from my night, and both guys did a very nice job rapping, singing, and playing the piano. This song is going to dominate the charts this month! Enjoy the performance!

With the release of his new reality show on Vh1 called For the Love of Ray J, Ray J is releasing an official soundtrack for the show! Here we have his first official single "Sexy Ladies". The song itself is a pretty bland r&b tune, and very repetitive. This track is actually quite a disappointment since the show is very entertaining, and because his last single "Sexy Can I" was so catchy! Enjoy this though!

After her hit songs "Just Dance" and "Poker Face", Lady GaGa is slowing things down with her newest single "Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)". The song is a cool midtempo electro-pop song, with a cute vibe to it. Here in the video, the cutesy mood continues and the video seems to be set in the Italian areas of New York City, where GaGa was actually raised. Her outfits in the video are also very creative, adding a lot of excitement to the video. I don't think this song will become a hit, become we never know! Enjoy!

About 4 months ago The Pussycat Dolls released their sophomore album ''Doll Domination'', which as already spawned 2 hit singles! The Dolls have gotten around and finally released their fourth single "Bottle Pop", which is a hot pop / r&b song already making the charts. The video for the song is a fun, dance video, and though doesn't have much of a storyline, is still actually pretty nice. The video doesn't feature Snoop Dogg, like the song, but instead features a new verse. Here is to another hit for them! Enjoy this!!
